When one is asked.. what are you grateful for? It is typically expected to say food or family. We are very fortunate to be given these blessings of course, but we forget what we should most importantly be grateful for.. & that is life. We are put on this earth and given a mouth to freely speak, eyes to appreciate the beauty of nature, ears to hear, and the list goes on. I didn't have the slightest clue how to illustrate this so I simply painted a female. I used 3 different shades to represent the beauty in human nature and how we were all created so unique yet beautiful. The white spots are there to not represent my laziness to perfect, but rather to symbolize that humans are not perfect, no matter what one's skin is. With all of this in thought, my gratefulness to be given a chance to live on the earth of the one and only Creator is beyond what words can explain. - Taqwa Q
